Miriam H. Karl, RN, BS, CFE
Miriam Karl joins the team at AltCare to share her expertise stemming from 40 years of experience as a registered professional nurse. Karl’s last 15 years have been devoted to working in telenursing, caring for the terminally ill and their families. As an advocate for telenursing, Karl’s work has allowed her to help make patients comfortable in their final months. Her work has resulted in patients given access to breathing machines, bed pads, free or discounted prescriptions and personal items, such as a Bible or books. Most importantly, Karl has served as an advocate and sounding board for terminally ill patients and has devoted her career to advocating with agencies to ensure proper care. As a breast cancer survivor, Karl understands the struggles of chronic illnesses. In addition to her experience in healthcare, Karl is also an accountant and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
